Triumph26
Hi guys, I posted a long intro (sorry) in general earlier today. 1971 240 z that I recently inherited, and am trying to get sorted for regular duty driving (not daily, it's too pretty for rain or the damned mag chloride they put on the roads here). I'm looking to do most of the work myself, which admittedly isn't that major as far as I know. But I'm wondering if anyone has a shop near Portland, OR to recommend? An internet search led me to Bill's in Clackamas but further searching led me to this forum (a good thing) where Bill's was bashed mercilessly. Any advise is welcome, from what I should be looking at doing to make the Z drivable all but daily to reputable shops in the NW. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Draker
If you want to do most of the woek yourself, what do you want a Z shop for? Serious question.. not being a dick. Often times, your best resources might be members of the forum. 1 Quote Link to comment
Triumph26
I do "most" of my own stuff on my bike and other cars, but I'm aware that there are limitations given my work space/tools available. I'm an ok wrench, but mostly at maintenance and light repair. Taking the Z to a mechanic with no experience in them is worse than muddling myself because I'm free and I care, you know? That said, it'd be nice to know if there's a shop someone could recommend. Quote Link to comment
DanielC
A quick search led me to Fort Dalles Nissan. I have also had some work done on my 1970 ratty 521 at Gladstine Nissan. Quote Link to comment

Phantom
I'd also check in with the guys at www.northwestz.org. They are primarily in the Portland area. Personally, I'd stay away from a Nissan dealership. If your car doesn't have an OBDII connection they won't know how to work on it. Quote Link to comment
