anyone running one of the 280z/720/620/520 125 amp alternators in there datsuns?

was linked to this today at the shop http://www.datsunstore.com/high-output-alternator-p-1.htmlwas wondering if anyone was running them? im getting no output today from my stock alt and it cant keep my dual battery's charged anyway so i need something bigger.

Looks like an old style GM alternator.

 

I just get a used one from the wreckers. Did you get Ford Villager or Quest vans there? They came with Nissan VG30 engines and 90 to 120 amp alternators..... http://nissannut.com/projects/alt_upgrade/

ck to make sure battery is good and the cables.

Most of my electrical were always bad cables and or corrossion

Had one for 6-7 yrs, but mounting ear broke off and then reg failed. Saturn alt is 90 plus amps and fits better.

we didnt get them. as far as i know.looks like mine melted/got hit by something at some point in the last month or so. dyno may have done it.
