flatcat19
Do not install push button starts. It will make one wheel spin in reverse when moving said car to get towed. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Do you have to hold the button to crank? If so, retarded... You do with the DZ start, but mostly because carbed cars dont start in the same time interval every time. You dont want over run, and failed starts also arent fun. I just have issue when its not all one button, like most who do the S2k button also run switches for ACC and IGN power. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Pretty much defeats one of the main reasons to have push start. I figured this was the case since no EFI feedback Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I never knew that was a main reason... I have driven plenty of new cars with push button start. I do not like them, and its not like that greatly changes the time to start the car... That said, Im sure there is a way to add it. I had remote start working on my L series, and that uses some sort of sensor to know when it has started (maybe its simply knowing when the alternator actually is charging...) so that it would disengage the starter.
