so my 720 twin cab has no fuses in the box yet everything works. no negtive earth. no earth at all infact. turns out that thick yellow wire (12mm) running behind the carpet is a negative they tapped every time they added/replaced something for the last 20+ years. i just got 10m of red and black 10mm wire + ive got a dual battery setup running but i need to know where some of the wires go. i have 125m of 1.5mm and an almost unlimited supply of 0.25mm as well as plenty of 0.15mm speaker wire. some pictures of the battery (main) and most of the random wires. and yes the entire fuse box is empty its all been cut out and most of it just runs inline from the battery. everything is there for the most part. just no wires in the box.

alt wireing (runs via the headlight cables witch have melted together from rubbing on the belt)

my headlight bipass. (all 4 are stuck on low and the dash light is always on even with the headlights off.)

the 17(+2) wires running from postive (2 are new rest came like it)

negative term with the two new wires (hid's plus the stock and the 10mm that joins the 12mm behind the carpet as well as connecting to a few varous things along the way. (next to a spark plug/alt/battery tray).

im not worried about cops in my town 60 people at the base of a deep valley (10 sq km blocks) ive seen one cop in 3 years. and the local workshop will pass damn near anything. they passed my boss's ute didnt even look at it. just passed it. datsun doesn't go near them after they did that wonderful wiring job. hence why im doing what i can to clean it up.

Generally, a stock Datsun is the most reliable Datsun.

If you do custom wiring, you have created a custom vehicle, that nobody can help you with.  If it is stock almost anyone with a 720 can help you, if nothing else take a picture if the wires they have.

If you change the wiring, the next person who had the truck, YOU become that dreaded PO.

i have the stock harness. i didnt remove it. was before i ever came near the car. i also have a spare sitting around out of a rusted out single cab. the factory manual does not cover dual cabs afaik. not the usa one at least.im asking for help before i go and hook up factory wires that were bipased 20+ years ago so i dont stuff anything majorly. all the stock wiring is there. most of that runs on switches. alt is larger then stock

Neg term found out what happened and need a new place to run it.  Also repaired the fuse box and replaced another trailer plug.  Have earth out the left indicators on the headlight circuit trigger to activate my running lights

Get the proper harness for it and get that rats nest of retardation out of there, PO's do some damn stupid shit.

YOu can use a termanal block and place it eslewhere so all the wires are not ran right off the battery post so it looks cleaner.

right 1 big wire from the main battery to the block which will be shorted with multiple tabs so hoook up your wires.

You could use a relay to power it up only with key on. Like a switchable added fuse box

there is no wireing digram. the 8 foot thick ball of cable and the 30 + pos wires taped to the dash make me think the same thing ive though all along. my 720 runs a stock l18 the workshop manuals dont cover a dual cap 720 (up720) i was asking for help as i dont have any idea where any wire runs or what the piles of lose wire do. i dont have carpet at the moment and that will chance soon. i need to get the wireing sorted before carpet at least
