Cardinal Grammeter
Trying to find ultra low density soft foam weatherstripping for replacement. Got some foam at Home Depot and it was a lot stiffer. I'll be able to use it for the cowl seal, but the flappers will need something very soft. One hardware store said there is a foam AC window seal that is 2" x 2" x 36" that he said will compress "down to nothing" which sounds promising. If soft enough, hopefully I could cut to appropriate strips but that could be difficult - and then what adhesive? Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
"Gorilla Snot" adhesive! It's used to install door weather striping. Quote Link to comment
Cardinal Grammeter
ran into a thread where they used Super-Cusioning Polyurethan Foam from McMaster-Carr: http://www.mcmaster.com/#polyurethane-foam/=ydufvn I was hoping to get this done next, but maybe I should order some... But AC filter foam is another really soft one. Quote Link to comment
abbylind
I used some rope type foam insulation recently, compresses from about 1/2" to as thin as a toothpick. You would need an adhesive to stick it to the panel Quote Link to comment
