Dash lights

Yes, a newbie here.

Let me start off by saying I have read most, if not all, the threads related to my problem and am still stuck.

I have 1972 521 with partial working dash lights. The red ignition light works when I turn the key one click, then the light turns off when the truck starts. The left and right turn-signal lights on the dash match the flash of the outside turn signal lights. The headlights work low and high, and the red light to indicate brights are on works.  When the the hazard light switch is pulled, only the left side flashes on the dash and on the truck (confusing!). The fuel and temp gauges work.

The problem is I have no instrument lights working to drive at night.  I have cleaned the all contacts; I checked all bulbs, fuses, and relays, and all are working. I also looked for dead spots on back of dash panel.

You say the L&R turn signals on the outside work but the 4 way flasher only works the left side?

Dash and the rear tail lights and front marker lights are on the same circuit and should be on together. So...

When the light switch is pulled out to the first position do the tail lights come on?

When pulled out to the second position (headlights) do the tail light stay on?

Pull headlight switch to first position tail lights, license light all four corner or clearance lights and front parking lights as well as all dash lights should come on. All on same fuse. Right side fuse box closest fuse 10 amp.

Pull headlight switch to second position.... same as above but headlights also on but different fuse. Right side just below the one mentioned above
