Dvargas209
Hey all, Just wanted to introduce myself and my "new" project car. It's a 1973 620. Pretty much stock. My Dad's had it for a bit and was slowly fixing it up. He now wants a boat so he has gifted it to me. Currently is not running, but is really close. Had some electrical issues, but those are now resolved. I have a weber carb on the way and am now looking for a replacement radiator. My intention is for it to be my new daily driver. Only had time to snap a quick exterior photo. More photos to come as time goes by. 5 Quote Link to comment

Dattokai
Stockton, that's where I'm from. You should go to Datslocos monthly meet in Manteca if you can. 1 Quote Link to comment
Dvargas209
Definitely. This thing is soooo close to being drivable. The interior is a different story, but right now I'm focusing on getting it moving. Once it runs, I'll be out there in Manteca. Keep in touch. 1 Quote Link to comment

Dvargas209
Thanks. I looked at your build. Very nice. I gotta find a front chin spoiler once I get to that fun cosmetic stuff. I ordered a radiator btw. Should be in soon. The carb comes Friday, should start working on it this weekend. 1 Quote Link to comment

red13
u going to do a 5 spd swap? and thats the good center console imo 1 Quote Link to comment
Dvargas209
A 5 speed swap is currently not in my budget right now. Unless I can find an amazing deal on all the right parts, it's staying automatic. It would have been pretty cool though. 2 Quote Link to comment
Elkie
The 80's and their obsession with aftermarket sunroofs. Nice truck, good start. 2 Quote Link to comment
Dvargas209
Ran into a problem today. Hopefully someone here can help. My dad's mechanic is here and he is saying the Weber won't work. Throttle body issue. Save a long story, my dad failed to inform me about that. He only spoke about the carb. My question: will the throttle body bolt onto the Weber carb? If not, what do I need to get it on. I know I know, search the pages...that's hours of research I could have done early HAD I known, but the mechanic is here now and I'd like a fast resolution. 1 Quote Link to comment
Dvargas209
Mechanic said it's the linkage. The Weber doesn't have it. How do we work around it? 1 Quote Link to comment
Dvargas209
Nvm...they got it on. Pictures later 2 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
First fire the mechanic, second do it your self. Third take the linkage off the old carb. 2 Quote Link to comment
Dvargas209
Yeah, right. I was busy so I couldn't stay, but I swung by, heard him out, and said "nah....it's gotta work somehow." Few hours later, it's on. Hahaha. Thanks though. 1 Quote Link to comment
