Ka24de "performance" throw out bearing??

I have been collecting pieces for a ka24de swap in my 510, I found a tranny with no throw out bearing sleeve or throw out arm. I bought a performance clutch and it came with a new bearing. I bought a "performance" throw out bearing from eBay and it doesn't seem to fit the throw out arm that I got from Nissan. Was wondering if anybody has used on of them and how it was installed? Or if anybody knows any other throw out bearing sleeve that will work in a ka24de transmission. Thanks. Pics below.

Combine flatcats two bits of advice and i think you're set. Get a 93 d21 clutch set and flywheel from exedy. Factory grade, factory pedal feel, holds reliably over 300hp from all I've read.

I don't even know what a performance throw out bearing really means. I guess it works be rated to a higher load maybe? I've never ordered one seperately. The one in your kit should be rated to the same level as the rest of the kit.

Better advice will come along if you give exact details on the trans you are using.

Depends on what KA flywheel you have right now. Probably a 225mm for a car. The D21 KAs used a 240mm and this is the strength behind the White Bunny swap.

If you have the 240mm flywheel you can even run an '84-'86 300zx turbo clutch. The pressure plate is 30210-P9600. Disc is 30100-21P00 but likely any 240mm disc will work.

Ok maybe I should elaborate more. I have the 71b trans for a ka. 225mm flywheel for a car and a xtc stage 3 clutch from egay. I went cheap. The transmission did not come with the sleeve that the bearing is pressed onto, so I bought this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=291073950173&globalID=EBAY-USexpecting to be able to just pull the bearing off the sleeve and replace it with the one that came with the clutch kit. But this "performance" throw out bearing doesn't even fit the throw out arm. So I'm asking what other throw out sleeves would work with the xtc clutch kit for my ka?

Going cheap will cost you more later. Time: always replacing your eBay clutch. Money: Buying another cheap clutch.

Buy quality.

I'll take an OE Exedy any day over eBay's finest.

Exedy Stage 1/2 or a Centerforce can be had for just a little more.

Ask about a return and do it better.

I would. But the motor is going in tomorrow.

A $16 POS part is ok where it's easy to get at and replace like a window crank handle. A throwout bearing needs the drive shaft and shifter out and transmission drained and removed.... sometimes the engine is easier to remove. The replace and put it all back together. Spend the money on quality parts that are high wear and also hard to replace. Any time the transmission is out I change the rear seal because it's easy to get at then.

Go get the right part. You already said it doesn't fit the clutch arm. You'll be pulling this again next weekend because it didn't work. Nissan sells them for about $50 so NAPA probably $25 or so. Do it. Put the engine in next week.
