Denmark Boy & I (Loren O. ) are organizing a Caravan to the Blue Lake Datsun Show, August 9th.

the idea is to make it a nice cruise along the scenic route, take photo ops, & have a good time.  (were not hurrying, so not taking the freeway).

Denmark Boy's group will be heading out from Eugene, driving down 99 through Silverton, Woodburn ,etc,& meeting up with Me,& hopefully other people in Canby.  We will then continue on 99 to Oregon City, where we can meet up with more people at Oregon City Shopping Center, or Clackamette Park.   From there, we will continue on 99/ Mcloughlin ,possibly taking River Road into Milwaukie, where we can meet up with more people, then head up to 82nd,possibly meet up with more people at King Road, Or Johnson Creek (Fred Meyer maybe?).

From that point we will head up 82nd,to IKEA near the airport, where we will meet up with the group that usually meets there, & head up to Blue Lake.

we will be posting an approximate schedule we will be at the meeting points soon.

your input on this is welcome ,so feel free to comment.

all are welcome to join us.

it sounds like Denmark boy will be leaving Eugene at around 6am.  that should put him in Canby at around 8 - 8:30 am.  it's approx. a 30-40 minute drive into Oregon City. from that point I don't know how long it will take to get to Milwaukie, then head up to Johnson Creek Fred Meyer, then down 82nd to IKEA.   will someone who is meeting at IKEA tell me when you're planning on meeting there, please?

Where is this IKEA you speak of ,, is it that one just off the freeway south of the border on 205 ??  As i will probably be going it alone this year because of my children working or driving (eek ) Toyotas,, like his momma.

Yes, it's the one you can see from 205 right by the airport way exit.  10280 n.e. Cascades Pkwy ,Portland ,Or. 97220   there is usually a group of people that meet there before the event, and cruise over together.  I haven't heard anything about that group yet this year, so hopefully we'll be able to meet up with them.

Yes,we have plenty of room! As for what time will we get to IKEA,I don't really know. I know, the trip into Oregon City is available Half an hour. I would guess approximately another 45 minutes from Oregon City to Milwaukie, but that may be too long of a guess. It's easy half an hour from Downtown Milwaukie to Johnson Creek Fred Meyer, from there we will be fighting traffic on 82nd,so I don't know. I would suggest pm'ing me your number, & I will keep you posted about what time we expect to reach the IKEA

We'll be waiting for you at Canby Fred Meyer, & Oregon City shopping center. More people are joining us at Johnson Creek Fred Meyer. I hope we make it to IKEA in time to meet up with the people meeting there.
