Not sure if this is the right area to post but there's a seller on ebay from austrailia selling the front 1/4 vent window rubber seal pair.
I emailed him about buying in bulk and it comes out cheaper than if you buy it individually.

Anybody interested? I'm in california.

EDIT:

since nobody wanted to buy, I went ahead and bought 10 sets and used 1 set for my own 521. fits perfect.

I'll sell the other 9 sets for $75 shipped each set. cheaper than the link above.

I emailed him about buying in bulk and it comes out to $48.38 shipped to the us if he ships 10 of them. Otherwise it's 54.82 + shipping.

his message below:

Hi freight for 1 set will cost $32aud

If you purchase 10 sets you can have a set for $54.45aud so 10sets will cost $544.50 + $110aud freight

If you would like to do a bulk purchase, send me all your details & the email address you use for paypal. I have attached a picture with our contact details

 that makes almost no sense

Plus ,, since all these would be delivered to a central location,, there would be even more shipping charges that would have to be paid out ,, by whom??  You ?

Not sure what's not making sense? The prices he gave was in Australian dollars. So converting to us dollars comes out to the price I gave.

Sorry I am new here because I just bought a 71 521 a few months ago and now want to replace a bunch of the old parts.

If people are interested,I can buy the 10 bulk. When I receive it I can take some pictures of the window seals with my screen name and sell it to the 521 community. Shipping from within the US shouldn't be too expensive.

If 10 people aren't interested, then I'd rather not go through the trouble buying the bulk.

Good move!  As a Newby, there is no track record for anyone to "trust you", there have been all too many well intentioned "group buys" theat blew up in the face of reality.  The "best" interim solution would be to have you bear the exposure of ordering a batch, importing them and offering a resale price once you find out the probably staggering import duties on your batch.  I really hope that you have the intestinal fortitude, finances and the willingness to ignore the "that's too expensive, I will give you $29" responses that you may well receive.  Lots of luck in the best sense.

Many years ago I tried to get Nissan to sell me all the old Datsun parts in their Gardena CA warehouse and organize a "Yokohama Tin" site to preserve and sell these gems.  Never got a response!  They tossed all the goodies and scavengers had a brief field day.

I noticed there are about 15 people watching this guy's ebay listing

Regarding shipping, the listing says--

  • Do you offer international shipping?
This seller doesn't offer international shipping.

FWIW, seller also has 78 negatives and neutrals in past year (and 6337 positives).

I've emailed him in the past, he will do international shipping, it is just ridiculously expensive.

Must be the carrier he's using.  I buy stuff from Malaysia, Thailand, New Zealand...it's all pretty reasonable, and <2 weeks to receive.

Exactly. I'd have to dig up some old emails to see which one he stated he uses, but it was way more than similar stuff I've had shipped from AUS.

He is the only source at this time.  Wayno has bought several sets of them from him and did a writeup on them.  He can ship 3 sets for the same price as shipping 1 set.  Your other choice is to go to 1 piece window and eliminate the 1/4 window.

I got mine from australia

Accordfreak, we're trying to gain some comfort in who you are.  You're a newbie around here, and all of your recent posts are in this 'for sale' thread (that's, oddly, NOT in the Classifieds section).  If you want to sell to us, most of us are going to want to have more comfort in who we're buying from.  All I know about you thus far is that you (apparently) really like Hondas and that thisismatt said you're in San Jose.
