sick620
I just got a 79 kc. No headlights. Everything else works, turn signals running lights etc.... No high beams either... It has some wierd more modern headlights in it all four are now halogen types with removable bulbs. Did someone just try to upgrade without proper steps and switching back to sealed beams will fix it? Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Modern bulbs have the pins in different spots. Test light will verify if there is a concern or not. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
If they have metal reflectors they will ground to the mounting tabs and blow the fuses. I had this, but just put small tabs of electrical tape over to insulate them. Worked. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
Since you have over 4000 post I know you know how to use a mutimeter and switching back to sealed beams will fix it? see if you even have voltage at the lamps and work back. If H4 lamps it should use a H4 relayed harness but they still might work as long one side grounds it selfs and go thru the element. Thje Old H4 use the housing to ground. This might light up if the housing touches metal if not dont worry you dnt have this style Quote Link to comment
