datzenmike Posted July 18, 2015 Report Share Posted July 18, 2015 Unless you have in mind a 'faster' cam, larger valves a better intake and carb upgrades, low restriction exhaust, maybe some other stuff, porting is really kind of expensive for a little gain. Porting may increase your head's ability to breath but if using a stock intake and carbs they may hold it back from it's full potential. Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports Posted July 18, 2015 Report Share Posted July 18, 2015 What's that guy's name? Les Canaday is a Roadster specialist, but I don't know how he is at actual engine mods. Porting a head, as Mike stated, is almost a waste of time if the ancillaries are not addressed as well. Intake, exhaust, cam, etc. BUT... Larger valves alone can make an engine come to life. I would send it up to Rebello and have him go through it. Expect to pay anywhere from $1500 to $2500 for a completely ported and assembled cylinder head. Quote Link to comment
