BobbyLummus Posted July 13, 2015 Author Report Share Posted July 13, 2015 I have a 84 720 4x4 and I have two issues - 1) it will try and run a little after turned off sometimes - assuming it needs timing adjusted ? 2) think I want to install a weber carb too Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted July 13, 2015 Report Share Posted July 13, 2015 The 720 carb has an idle cut solenoid to prevent 'run on'. It shuts off with the ignition and cuts fuel to the idle circuit to help stall the engine. Before checking that, be sure the choke is not on or part on as this will supply fuel to a shut off engine. The idle must also be 750-900 or this can cause it too. ASAP get a factory service manual (FSM) for your year of truck. Not a Chilton's or Haynes but a Nissan FSM that describes work on your 720 in detail. Quote Link to comment
