Right now MAYBE there are 200 car in whole greece,  it might be 20 running most of them 4 door and maybe 1-2 original coupes hidden in garages(no coupes where imported ever here). I was lucky to caught up with that one 68. imagine that he gave me the original keys..So to sell it like this would be trouble because to bring a 2 door from the other side of the planet would cost a lot of money. datzenmike you really  know a lot about  the 510s but i think if can get 2 doors and the c-pillars from the coupe it could be done in no time . To tell the truth i have never done that before but i got a good friend here that has experience on this stuff so the result would be almost perfect..

One of twenty out of the entire country, is very rare. It's your car but... to cut it up merely to make a 2 door? You might need the entire roof and back window plus the side windows and head liner, rear tail lights and probably more from a coupe. Still wouldn't be right hand drive.

The body longer on the four door is longer than the two door also.  The body of the four door is 4120mm (162.2 inches) long and the body of the two door is 4070mm (160.25 inches) long. I just don't believe it can be done and ever be right, the roof will be to short, the doors and rear glass will not line up etc. etc. etc.

I'm not trying to be dick, just know in advance that it won't work correctly. Plus, like everyone is trying to tell you, a 1968 is the coolest year to own.

I am in japan and have access to a 2 door coupe. Let me get the 68 and you can get the coupe… send me a message and lets make this happen, i am sure it will be a lot cheaper in the long run

jesus christ how bout i ship a 2 dr in pieces to you .. come there and build it for u and i will container that four door up and get like 15 subway subs and ride back to the states in the container with that treasurer.... you cut that car up and we will come tattoo ratsun back wards on your forehead...

please dont ... please please dont

you have no idea how rare that car is ,....prolly rarer then some coupes

if you do any mods ... just import rhd stuff ... personally a rhd four door is sexier then a coupe in many ways

Yes to trade it it would be a good idea BUT that car with it's registration papers and transfer cost me 2000$ And to ship an other one from japan it will cost 5000 $ !! It is too much for me.This car MAYBE is rare  because it is 3 speed with column shifter and front seat from side to sideand as i told you this car was one owner. I have the original keys (never used) ,the car manual, the factory spare fan belt. Everything they give when it was new. I already got a KA24e, an STI rear diff, 13x8 compomotive wheels and coilovers to lower it to the floor and a few other parts. Why not to combine that rare interior with a coupe exterior and a nice engine?? It will be something different in many ways. All i need is a coupe roof and 2 doors...

Just curious is your 68 irs or straight axle? I know different parts of the world got 510s with different rear end setups curious as to what was delivered over there. Anyhow entertain greased monkeys proposition, I too think it would be cheaper in the long run to just trade for what you want vs modifying this clean sedan to suit your needs. All the parts your going to need are going to be imported anyway which is going to add up right? I along with pretty much everyone who's commented on this thread would hate to see a dime of this condition to be modified into something it isn't... But on another note can we get some more pics of this sweet ride.
