gen4maxima536
What roadster clutch (year and brand) would be good for a 510? will a roadster clutch work with any transmission 4 spd, 5spd, dogleg that i can put in the 510? are there any other roadster specific parts that need to be obtained i.e. throw out bearing, flywheel? slodat
It is for a '70 2L Roadster. You need a 200mm flywheel, which is what the stock L16/L18 flywheel is in a car. If you have an L20b, the 200mm flywheel is a little harder to find. All you order from the Roadster is the pressure plate, the rest is all stock 510 stuff. Will work with any L series transmission - 4speed, dogleg 5 speed, Z, ZX, etc. Quote Link to comment
gen4maxima536
whats the normal flywheel size for an L20b? so i could just take the flywheel from a 16 and put it on the 20 and sounds like i'd be set Quote Link to comment
84TAVeRT
for an L20b... i recommend the 280z turbo clutch and pressure plate :) Quote Link to comment
slodat
The 280ZX turbo clutch and pressure plate are 240mm. 620 trucks have 225mm flywheels. Cars - 510, 610, 710, etc have 200mm flywheels. L16 & L18 are 5 bolt flywheel. L20b, L24, L26, L28 are 6 bolt flywheels. I run a 225mm flywheel with a 240Z clutch and pressure plate. Quote Link to comment
slodat
for an L20b... i recommend the 280z turbo clutch and pressure plate :) There is no 280z turbo. The turbo came in the 280ZX. I know it seems like nit picking, but it's a significant difference. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
Does this car need a 280zx turbo clutch????750KG hate to find out its a stock Lseries. The Roadster pressure plate is fine and its somewhat cheap 30210-20111 order thru nissanparts.cc or nismoparts.com enter part # However the 200mm 6 bolt flywheel is harder to find to fit the L20. Unless you have one already. otherwise most are the truck type 225 mm or the Z flywheels.L20 that came in cars 610,710 and the 77-79 200sx anf the laterA/10/510 series with the l20 and ealey Z20 motor. L20 trucks 620 720 have 225mm But remember if you use a 225mm flywheel you need the T/O bearing and sleeve from the yr it cam from. ,example a 620 truck set up truck flywheels are HEAVY!!!!!!!! You can order a Fidanza 77-79(200sx) 200mm 6 bolt 10 pounder if you have about 340$ http://www.prostreetonline.com/pnsku/143121.asp Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The '80-'81 200sx Z20 and the '82-'83 200sx Z22 had the 200mm flywheel as well Quote Link to comment
slodat
I had Dan Hall lighten my 225mm flywheel. I think it is about 16lbs. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
slodat Could you tell the difference with a lighten wheel? I had ordered a lighten stock one from a guy on Oregon. Maybe it was Dan He did it as a Hobby. Put new ring gearon also 150$ Quote Link to comment

datsunaholic
The '80-'81 200sx Z20 and the '82-'83 200sx Z22 had the 200mm flywheel as well Not in the US- they had the 225mm in all S110 200SXs here. Quote Link to comment
Fineline
Could you tell the difference with a lighten wheel? I scored a lightened 240mm turbo flywheel for $10. It weighs 13.5 lbs and you can definately tell. I only had an L-16 stocker to compare it to though. Quote Link to comment
