datO)))
Just picked up a used weber from Canby and it sucks. I have a guy selling a 32/32 for $75 But I'm curious about a new stock carb for my A12. Quote Link to comment

metalmonkey47
Why do you say "it sucks"? ^This. Only time I've ever seen a Weber suck is when it's not set up properly or it has a problem. Both of them are easy to correct. So much simpler then the stock carb. Quote Link to comment
datO)))
It just won't Obay me and work right lol. I can't pull any part # off of it so To tune it, I have to use a basics weber tuning. OK! Now befor the comments role in, yes that is cardboard as a gasket for test purposes, it has been replaced. So Iv blown out all jets and now car won't Even start. Note. Coil is leaking and most likely dead. What's odd is the main jets are in between the venturies. And had to pull the top end off exposing the float etc. there is a weber tag on it but number is rubbed off. It looks to say _2993? More pics to come Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The problem with used webers are they are also as old as dirt, easily rebuilt by people that don't know what they are doing, contain missing or swapped parts and may simply have been passed through ten owners and just worn out. The good news is that 'likely' it can be fixed but you will have to become an expert on how it works. Go tot he weber web site for tuning tips and info. You can do this. Quote Link to comment
datO)))
I'm on it. I'm letting the wagon sit this summer so I can just work on it . My fixie gets me around just dandy. I have plenty of new parts to put on . Quote Link to comment
