I say Day lighters as they are period correct, but you can add LED as wheel well lights

I was looking at a set of 4 of those earlier today im thinking those on the rear for reverse and work lights 3 20 inch light bars on the bumper should be plenty

 

I do like that day lighters are period correct but for the cost i can get a few light bars and have more light

ive started assembling parts she has a lifter that is going flat so im doing a comp cams extreme energy 4x4 cam new valve springs, intake, and carb the first piece is an edelbrock performer rpm intake new 200 i snagged this one for 40

I've had great experiences with Demon carbs, it's all Holley style components, but has a modern and sleek look.

Edelbrock is great for ease of tune. Holley and Demon give more versatility to dial in a perfect tune but require more work and knowledge to get it there so it's more common that people have engines that don't run right on them.

Edelbrock, less seems to go wrong, I've had to rebuild too many Holley carbs that were just rebuilt.....Damn power valve...

The top end kit calls for 600-650 cfm the demon at 625 is right in the middle of that range i need a carb that will fire as quickly as possible so i can break in the cam

There is always the good ol quadrajet, but you have to find one of the 15 people that knows how to tune them right.

ok now that i have kinda figured out a new image hosting site time to update everyone got to work  on the k5 tearing it down to install the goodies

this is where it starts to go wrong i noticed the cam bearings werent in the best of shape called up the machine shop they said it would be 70 to replace them but it had to be a bare block no big deal 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the bearings werent so happy mains looked the same awesome! started to prepare myself for at least new bearings 

 

 

but the worst part was this first piston i knock out slips out of my hands hits the floor and breaks the skirt fuck my life now im in this a full rebuild

after pricing out parts and machine work o was looking at another 2400 for a rebuild i decided to check summit again and found a short block that used the exact parts i wanted for 1300 so an order was placed and the old block wrapped up for a later build while i waited on the new short block to show up i bed lined the engine bay and made a harness for my extra lights

then a magical box showed up and i cried i imagine this is what having a child is like specs 4 bolt main with -12 cc dished hyperutectic pistons and arp hardware

cleaned it and shot it with some paint duplicolor hyper silver wheel paint as a base and metallix blue top coat
