foxfire904
Hi All, My mechanical fuel pump started leaking so I switched to an electric but even with a regulator (set at 2.5 psi) it floods the carburetor. Does anyone know if the 210 or 310 pumps are compatible? If not, does anyone have a spare pump they could sell me on the cheap. Cheers, Sam Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Hi Sam and welcome to Ratsun. The electric pump should be a low pressure one 3-5 PSI would work. The Regulator shouldn't be a cheap one either. Now thew flooding problem.... I would examine the carb first. Installing a regulator and a fuel pump may have dislodged some sediment in the fuel lines towards the carb. It would be easy for something to jam the inlet needle valve so it does not close properly. btw... if looking for parts, it must be done by starting a Want To Buy ad in out classifieds section. Here's a link... http://community.ratsun.net/classifieds/category/3-datsun-parts/?sort_key=date_added&sort_order=desc Just fill out fully. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Sam have you done anything to confirm you're actually getting the fuel pressure the regulator is set at? I've seen some fairly decent regulators that are 1-2 PSI above the selected fuel pressure. Quote Link to comment
