How do you remove the speedometer needle?

How do you remove the speedometer needle?

Prying on it seems like its going to break it. It looks to have a small "hat" at the center, and maybe that's used as a nut?

I just don't want to break it.


I am swapping a no circle speedometer face to match my no circle tach.

I def. read that one in my searching, although the 510 is different.

 

It does press on/off.

 

I used the 2 spoon method and it popped off.
