fredges
I'm looking at '69 goons, sedans and trucks, and while the goon and the sedan are the same up front, the trucks appear to be different in the headlight/grill area... did the 521 share anything with any other models? (I have a '69 521 and I love the way the front looks. Was wondering if there were any others that had the same nose) I also notice that the crease down the length of the truck is deeper... was this to stiffen the body for hauling? Quote Link to comment
DanielC
The body on a 521 is pretty unique to a 521. Side marker lights may be the same, except for the rubber bases. As far aa the crease on the side, yes, it stiffens the sheet metal. But remember, a 521 also has a frame, a very strong frame, that does not really need the body of the truck to add stiffness. All the bolts on a 521 are an SAE standard. The 510 cars may have already switched to metric body fasteners by 1969. Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
The 521 fender in the third picture can be made to fit a 410 or 411, conversely a 410 or 411 fender can be fitted to a 521. The big difference is the turn signal. the 521 spans across the fender attach line, the 410 and 411 turn signal is on the front apron. Fabricate a patch and you are good to go fitting the truck fender to the sedan. Cut carefully to fit thw truck lamp to the sedan fender. Quote Link to comment
fredges
Thanks guys, I was jsut curious. I notice that the 411 looks very similar along the side as well. Will 411 doors fit a 521?? Quote Link to comment

No. The 411 doors are shorter than the 520 or 521. Same basic reason that a 520 or 521 windshield won't fit a 410 or 411. Quote Link to comment
