uberkevin
And your not making mounts for people motor swaps why?? Motor mounts shoul dbe in shear, so that if the rubber (or urethane) breaks, the engine is still held in place. Stock motor mounts aren't always this way, but they do usually have a lip on them that will help. These motor mounts are in shear and use bushings I sourced in the link I provided earlier. Stoffregen Motorsports
I'll build anything you want, I just need the vehicle to do it. Guessing is not a game I like to play. 2 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Look up 240sx hockey puck engine mounts. That might be the kind of solution you're looking for... I see now that this has been suggested. Quote Link to comment

Stock motor mounts aren't always this way, but they do usually have a lip on them that will help. The MadDat urethane mounts have each stud ending in a loop and the loops are intertwined so if it fails the engine will stay in place, and at worst drop about an inch. And due to the angle of most Datsun engine mounts, even if the isolators disappeared, the engine wouldn't exactly "fall out". It'd just drop down 2". Worst you'd get is a damaged oil pan. But I do agree with your point. 1 Quote Link to comment
