You're on a posting binge. You already have a post on this yesterday.... http://community.ratsun.net/topic/66375-4-month-old-leafs-may-be-stuffed-on-my-1981-datsun-720/  Also mentioned here... http://community.ratsun.net/topic/66373-what-tires-should-i-be-using-on-my-1981-720-dual-cab/

Make your posts count not start another about the same thing.

they were not ment for the datsun as far as i know the ford f150 we have as a tow car has the very same leafs in it and the drill holes in the leafs make me wonder. i do have a feeling they just moved them over when the f150 had the leafs replaces after it snapped an axle towing 11.2 ton. it had them replaced 4 months ago. still have the quote. just says springs/coils $1150

The 720 doesn't have coil springs they are leaf spring in back and torsion bars in the front.  Post a picture of the U bolt area on the axle. Maybe there are dropping blocks that can be removed. I have F-150 springs on the back of my 620 and they are stiff and lift the truck. Go back and get your money.
