btd19m
so on the passengers side one of the leafs is out of the leaf pack at the moment at the rear end and im wondering if this is a serous problem or if i can just ignore it for now? i would get photos but its getting quite dark and i have 700 + cows to feed and really need to get that done and drive home. also my ride height is quite a bit lower then i would like for newish springs that is 10.6CM and its just over 15cm at the other end. 1 Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
Those are new? They look like 34 year old leaves that someone installed out of sequence. 1 Quote Link to comment
btd19m
do you have any suggestions as to where to track down new leafs? the leaf "pack" on the other side has slid and a leaf is just floating. 1 Quote Link to comment
btd19m
they were not ment for the datsun as far as i know the ford f150 we have as a tow car has the very same leafs in it and the drill holes in the leafs make me wonder. i do have a feeling they just moved them over when the f150 had the leafs replaces after it snapped an axle towing 11.2 ton. it had them replaced 4 months ago. still have the quote. just says springs/coils $1150 1 Quote Link to comment
Ratwagon1600
Try grand auto wreckers in Adelaide www.grandauto.com.au Baz at Datsport may know where to source them from as well www.datsport.com 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
If leafs are floating then the center pin is likely broken. You will need to replace it, this requires removing the u-bolts and axle to access it. 1 Quote Link to comment
