Rollover_Red
So when I built my lz22, I think I may have put my dipstick tube a little too far down. How do I properly measure how far it goes in to show the correct amount of oil? Quote Link to comment
Rollover_Red
Also, it's a z22e block, l16 oil pan/sump/dipstick. Quote Link to comment
shacks510
Do you have a straight L series tube? On my L20 block, the bottom of the tube is about 1/16" from the bottom of the hole inside the block. Quote Link to comment

Rollover_Red
Ok, I'll redo it when I put my new oil sump on. Quote Link to comment
shacks510
Might as well repaint the bay while the engine is out. "Weekend Job" :D Quote Link to comment

How do I properly measure how far it goes in to show the correct amount of oil? Fill the engine with the exact correct amount of oil. Mark where the oil level is on the stick and that's the correct amount. Quote Link to comment
Farmer Joe
is the dipstick in the stock hole on the passenger side, or did you leave it on the driver side? if its the stock dipstick tube, stick, oil pan, then it would be like normal. if its the Z block tube and stick, then itll have to be drained, filled with 4 qts and then marked like mike said..
