Antique glass door knob from ebay plus random 3/8" bolt...

Equals hell of cool spinner knob that matches the shift knob...

It was actually a huge pain in the ass in the end. Had to cannibalize a generic spinner knob from the "never put this stuff on your car" aisle at the local chain parts store. Then install it about 5 times to figure out how to make it spin without unscrewing itself. Then took it off again so I could paint everything while Tim polished his knob. Works a treat though...

It's your car, just don't ruin it.

It's also not my money, so i'll suggest the most expensive option.

We simply called that aisle the "stupid shit aisle" at my oreilly.

Nice work on the spinner knob.

Finally finished patching all the holes in the floor, so today we put a coat of bedliner stuff on it...

While I did that, Tim built some kind of robot thing, not sure what it is...

Actually it's a nifty battery box thing. Since we are running dual batteries (one for the engine, one for the rear electronics), this box will house an isolator (right), two monster fuses (center), and an on-board trickle charger (left).

Also in the side, Tim added this cool voltage meter that shows the level of both batteries independent of each other whenever you push that button on the right.

Attached to the on-board trickle charger is an extension cord that terminates in a weatherproof bulkhead plug. Next week we will drill a hole in the driver's side wall to mount this guy...

DUDE!  I can't believe you showed pictures of my continuum transfunctioner, with crosslinked oscillation overthruster!  Now the NSA is going to be all up in my grille about all that plutonium I ordered on the Dark Web last week!

Damn autocorrect.  What I typed was, "Yeah, totally dual batteries and trickle charger."

Well, my TV/DVD combo unit is on its way.  It is on a FedEx truck somewhere twixt Pennsylvania and Texas.  I'm settling for 24" because that's the biggest 12v TV with built-in DVD I could find... and it, plus antenna, plus shipping, was still $25.00 less than the 32" I wanted... and I'd still need a DVD player... and the wall mount I stole from my boss is only rated for a 24" TV.

Shut up!  I am NOT just trying to justify it!
