Ghetto Jack
So the brakes are grinding on the front of my 1968 510. Nobody makes calipers or rotors, and my rotors are too warped to be redone. I also own a 1969 510. Long before I ever owned it, someone converted to 1976 B210 front calipers, rotors, and pads. I don't know if anything else was changed or not. Here's my question: has anyone done this conversion before? Does anyone know if I need to buy any other parts besides calipers, rotors, and pads? I'm too poor to do the whole damned 280ZX front conversion, since I'd have to change the front struts, etc. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
They are likely Datsun 610 brakes. The USA B210 used 510/610 rotors, 610 calipers and 610 pads. All you need to fix warped rotors is new rotors & pads. No need for new calipers unless they are damaged. New parts are still readily available. For example, Autozone carries the 510 rotors & pads. Dolomite
^what he said. I bought new rotors fairly recently, many companies offer them. Mine are stock replacements from brembo, with centric axxis pads. If there's a fast undercar near you, try them, they have everything. Quote Link to comment
Ghetto Jack
I'll try Fast Undercar. Autozone no longer has them. The calipers are damaged, the brake pad and backing plate broke and it's piston-on-rotor now. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Autozone is selling them right now http://www.autozone.com/1/products/369015-brake-rotor-duralast-3125.html Quote Link to comment
