I'll get back to this thing another time and full those gaps. For now, very impressed for a cheap fix. After I fill in the gaps I'll paint the spaces and gaps with some black Testors. Not sure if we rubbed those when loosening head bolts. Never had a concern. Hm. No. Reason for work was to swap in 5 speed. Inspected condition of oil leaks, figured since I have a full gasket set may as well just do things while I'm here. Everything looks good. Lots of loose stuff when taken apart. Trans had maybe a 1/2qt. in it. Short version of plans...Reseal motor. Install 5 speed. Fix some electrical gremlins. Long version? Stay tuned. 3 Quote Link to comment

That's all I will be doing. Then reassemble. May strip the paint and paint black. Maybe pink. I don't know. Meh. 3 Quote Link to comment
