1977 Cherry Coupe

Hello.

Here's an introduction to my Datsun Cherry Coupe 120A FII for those that are interested.

I picked up this car in 2005 and it has been an ongoing project ever since. I have had a lot of distractions in the form of other cars during this time but this year it looks like it will be roadworthy.  B)

So here it is the day I picked it up in april 2005 (pics or ban, right?):

Overall the condition was good. A couple of rust spots here and there ofcourse. I haven't started it since but it ran smoothly and I see no reason why it shouldn't still do that in 2015.

The first thing I did was to debadge it and instantly lose 10 hp.

A bit of rust on one front fender + it had a dent in it. Everything was fixable but I replaced it with a new one.

It is model F10 in all countries, as shown on the engine compartment aluminum ID plate.

Marketed/badged as Nissan Cherry in Japan, and Datsun Cherry 100A F-II/120A F-II in Europe.

F10 was sold by Nissan dealerships in Japan, while Datsun dealerships in Japan sold the Sunny.
