Abunai
Hello. Here's an introduction to my Datsun Cherry Coupe 120A FII for those that are interested. I picked up this car in 2005 and it has been an ongoing project ever since. I have had a lot of distractions in the form of other cars during this time but this year it looks like it will be roadworthy. B) So here it is the day I picked it up in april 2005 (pics or ban, right?): Overall the condition was good. A couple of rust spots here and there ofcourse. I haven't started it since but it ran smoothly and I see no reason why it shouldn't still do that in 2015. The first thing I did was to debadge it and instantly lose 10 hp. 4 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Hi abunai and welcome to Ratsun. I seem to remember helping a friend of a friend change a clutch in one back in the '70s. I never cared for stickers either. Are those the factory seats? Quote Link to comment
Abunai
Are those the factory seats? Yes they are. And thanks for the welcome. On to june 2005: Face off. A bit of rust on one front fender + it had a dent in it. Everything was fixable but I replaced it with a new one. Quote Link to comment
KELMO
Wow, they called that an F10 here in the states. The seats look similar to early Z seats. Welcome to the Circus 1 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
It is model F10 in all countries, as shown on the engine compartment aluminum ID plate. Marketed/badged as Nissan Cherry in Japan, and Datsun Cherry 100A F-II/120A F-II in Europe. F10 was sold by Nissan dealerships in Japan, while Datsun dealerships in Japan sold the Sunny. Abunai
That's right, ggzilla. B) May 2006: New parts. May 2009: Rebuilt caliper, new strut insert, brake disc, brake pads and tie rod end. A bit more work on the LHS corner. Better. 1 Quote Link to comment
Abunai
May/June 2009: I replaced the rear shock and a leaky brake cylinder. ...and I found a NOS grill from Japan. Gotta love the stuffing paper. Test fit. Quote Link to comment
