ericsb210
Working on the 620. I am in the midst of replacing the brake hydraulic system. I have been noticing that Ebay has items for sale that are listed on Rockauto for twice the price or more. For example I found a Japan original Brake Master Cylinder that had an old masking tape stain on one of the upright plastic fillers, at Rockauto for $39.95. On Ebay I spotted the identical Brake Master Cylinder (same pic and brand) for the amount of $79.95 - $99.95. I suspect that the Ebay sellers were selling the item they did not even own, for a substantial profit no less. Is this whats going on, if it is, is this something new? Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Not new. My wife does a little bit of auction selling. She'll post an ad on eBay of a product that gets drop-shipped from Amazon. eBay item gets sold, purchase from Amazon is automatic; shipped to eBay customer. Lots of work to research how and what works. Easy to do when figured out. Quote Link to comment
ericsb210
Wow, news to me. My guess would be that some might do better if they were not trying to make a days profit off of one sale. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Right? My wife places a small percentage of profit on each item. And I mean tiny. It was more of an experiment when she started doing it while researching a business idea she had. Now it's more hobby for her. Quote Link to comment
ericsb210
Cool, nothing better than a hobby that earns money. A small percentage makes sense. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
A substantial profit makes more sense. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
I wish I knew what a profit was. 2 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
A substantial profit makes more sense. Not when you're relying on some one else's inventory. Do you think more Whoppers get sold at full price or when they're on sale for a dollar? 1 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
Probably full price, they are sold at regular price for a greater amount if time. Quote Link to comment
505plus5
I wish I knew what a profit was. It's clothes or things that "FIT" "PRO"fessionally, I think! If a whopper fits in your mouth, or someone else's, I think that's considered a profit, too! Glad to help! ;) Quote Link to comment
