wolfz96
So I recently bought a 1979 620 with 150k miles on it. The clutch isn't wanting to grab until the very end of the pedal travel. Time for a new clutch or slave or master? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
From your description can I assume that the clutch engagement point is with the pedal near the full up position? Has this been working properly and suddenly gotten worse? If the clutch grabs and holds and does not slip when floored in any gear, maybe this is normal for this truck. 1/ Engagement of the clutch at the very top of the pedal travel could be an incorrect release bearing collar (too long) used when swapping the clutch. The transmission may have been swapped and the old collar from a different vehicle left on the clutch arm. 2/ Failure of the master or slave, or air in the hydraulics can usually only cause the clutch to disengage and engage closer and closer to the floor in the down position.
