icetitan
Thanks , well the mechanic who was going to so some front end work said the there was something wrong with it. He said it isn't tight (like the hole is too big or boared out or something). He recomended I find the part before he does the other work so he can do it all at once. Does anyone know if the part is manufactured still ? Might try posting in the classified section to try and find an old/used one. thanks everyone Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
This is for a '78 280z??? 48510-E8700 is the RH side rod steering ball joint that fits into 40052-E4102 RH steering knuckle 48630-E8700 is the LH side rod steering ball joint that fits into 40053-E4102 LH steering knuckle If available the knuckles are about $60 each. You don't want to know what the side rods are worth. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
There's no moving part on it and nothing to wear out. It's possible that the replacement ball joint shank is the smaller or the wrong one. Quote Link to comment
