hisdudenes
new to ratsun as far as posting goes however I have spent countless hours on here. im looking for quality suspension/stering parts for my 72 521. I have acquired moog endlinks, idler arm, swaybar bushings, driver & passenger upper control arm bushings. I also have ordered deeza lower control arm bushings and unknown brand pittman shaft seal. I would like to find somewhere to get a moog center/drag link and moog tierod ends but if that wont be posiable what are some solid alternitaves. I found some acdelco tierods but im not sure if they are really a good option. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The 'center drag link' is called the cross rod and there is nothing to wear out on it that needs replacing, however on each threaded end is a screw on ball joint LH #48580-20500 connects cross rod to Pittman arm. RH #48570-20500 connects cross rod to idler arm. These are the Nissan part numbers and can be used to cross reference If you have spent hours here you should remember that we love pictures of Datsuns and an introduction. 2 Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Sounds like you found almost all the parts, except one ? I would like to find somewhere to get a moog center/drag link and moog tierod ends. RockAuto is the first place we look. 1 Quote Link to comment
hisdudenes
I got all my parts from rock auto thus far. good to know that with what I have I have pretty much got it covered I just don't have acess to my Haynes manual because im in Alaska right now. I tried to do a photobucket account but it keeps saying error occurred so I will try again tomorrow. im not sure what the introduction entails, my bad. I will try to get some picks up tomorrow and an introduction. 1 Quote Link to comment

DanielC
Start with this. Look up part numbers. http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun520/Datsun520521Index.aspx Call your local Nissan dealer. Some parts for 45 years old trucks they still can get. I have found really cooperative people at Gladstone Nissan. Quote Link to comment
hisdudenes
this may sound like a stupid question but would I be able to buy tie rod ends and use them for the cross rod or are they diferent? I found a nice jdm center link/cross rod but its 95$ however I can get jdm tie rod ends for 39$. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Sure, if they are different you'd only be out $39. Quote Link to comment
hisdudenes
I bought the jdm centerlink because I don't wanna have to worry about jerry riging stering parts I ended up buying raybestos tierods and kyb gas adjust shocks. I tried to make a introduction post but when I tried to add photos I lost everything I had written. I will try again when im back at home in july Quote Link to comment
