so we pull the fauz trunk wall out ... welp...we have a issue ... the vent hose is broke off ...so theres the fumes ...but he filler neck ....lol.   the lower hose is cracked and dry rotted and leaking like a old colostomy bag....and runnin under the seat on onto the floor where it leaks past the floor plug..... start thrashing a full fuel tank out the trunk .... lol ... dont realize till we are spilling fuel everywhere and laughing still theres a floor plug and drain in the tank ... ... get it out finally and start dumping fuel into 5 gallon containers... phew ... get to the last but of fuel and corn flakes of love come streaming out ... dump he last fuel and look in my super nice tank and holy shit its like the scabs of narnia in there...

There have been several suggestions on DIY cleaning a gas tank, but it is not worth it to me.  A good radiator shop should be able to clean it out.   I did that with Ratsun.

Small fuel hoses, and return lines you can get sizes close enough at an auto parts store.   For the filler neck hose, I was abole to try several different sizes of large diameter hose for that.

For the medium vent hoses, a marine store has gas approved hose around 5/8 of an inch (16MM) in diameter.

I had my tank acid dipped, came back super clean. I replaced all the rubber hoses w/ .25" rubber line from Knechts, and bent new steel fuel lines.

Well shit I guess it only sort of happened because this is the only oic I have. The freshly painted tank reinstalled

To clean tank, hand full of nuts and bolts, gravel, ball bearings whatever and about a gallon of solvent, then shake the all living hell out of it for about 15 minutes and rinse out will solvent then brake clean. Always works for me, unless the tank is rusty enough and you end up with holes from the violent shaking.

And yes, that one, the one that doesn't go to anything but will drain your fuel tank into the passenger compartment and melt all of the tar crap on the floor.

I did this, but with water.. it got a ton of shit out.. but there are still fine rust particles floating around.
