If the kingpin kits and seemingly all other bits are no longer available, where do I start on making this truck not handle like a wet noodle?

 

I see folks making new lower arms to run ball-joints, but 800 bucks is a little too hefty for me. Anyone have a direction that isn't forkin- out for those or dropping the frame onto a miata?

King pin kits are on ebay as are most of the other parts.

autozone also has Kingpin kits  for like 144$  then you need to install them by someone that knows hOw.

Mklotz on here has spares and can do a set . key is have the right guy do them. Last guy said he did mine and just mashed them in there. I thought I was going to bust a tierod end. I had someone else do it . and have  a spare set now also.

 

 

put gas shocks on there also.

Sent you a PM.  This truck looks like one Rocket Dog built and sold.  Does it have a 520 metal dash top and is it a 1972 with 3 point seat belts?

Yes Rocket Dog's had fresh paint, just commenting it is similar.

I really don't know the history of this truck. It supposedly sat for 15 years in a shop/garage.

 

No 3-point belts.
