620Turbo4X4 Posted April 3, 2015 Report Share Posted April 3, 2015 I just switched to led bulbs in my 620. I noticed when last bulb was switched that all of the LED's got dimmer. Also dimmer knob is either off or on now. I think this is because my truck does not use a rheostat and is rather PWM on the negative side and requires a certain amount of current to work properly. I've ordered up some can-bus bulbs. Let you know how this works out... PS. I just completed building a circut to invert the negative PWM to a positive PWM for aftermarket gauges that do not have a seperate ground for lighting. This fixes the problem of dash lights getting dimmer and gauges getting brighter when adjusting dimmer knob. If anyone is interested let me know and I might make up some more and post some in the classifieds. I have enough IC chips to make 9 more... 2 Quote Link to comment

The negative side pulse width modulation kinda sucks when you install aftermarket stereo, and gauges without the extra lighting ground. I couldn't find anyone that sells a inverter so your aftermarket stuff works right... 1 Quote Link to comment
