B210 Brake Lights

Well, my B210 is up and running after sitting for 12 years, but I'm having an issue with the brake lights. They won't shut off. We've checked the fuses and all of them are good and corrosion free, but I don't know what all else needs to be checked. It's a 1977 B210 coupe.

There is a switch on the brake pedal box. The brake pedal has a small pad that pushes against the switch and opens the connection. The pad can fall off and the switch doesn't open.  Just tape something on it.

It may not be exactly as stated but... close. Five tens and 521 trucks have this and you can scotch tape a penny onto the brake pedal to get it working. Hell some Datsuns are adjustable,

Yes its adjustable but still uses the plastic plug.

You guys were spot on. Got under there and the plug had been pushed through the hole, broken in three pieces. Replaced it with a penny and it's working perfectly now.

Now thats Ratsun Repair (or would that be redneck), either way; If it's crazy and it works, it ain't crazy.

Well, it actually took 3 pennys and two pieces of "metal tape" = expensive repair :P
