DrRocks0
Had to get new tires and an alignment yesterday and found out that the back left tire won't align. I have the Futofab rear control arm adjusters and the left rear toe is maxed and I still am at 1.8 degrees. Everything else on the car lined up. So, what normally gets bent/goes bad that can cause the toe to be that far off? Quote Link to comment
DISLEXICDIME
If it has a r200 you need to shorten the dog bone Quote Link to comment
DrRocks0
No stock r160 still. I want to put a 180 in it eventually. Quote Link to comment
q-tip
Check your mustache bar and rear cross member bushings. Lower control are could also be bent. Quote Link to comment
DrRocks0
Mustache bar bushings were replaced with poly when I first got the car, they were wasted. The cross member bushings look, meh, ok. They don't really move when pried on when the car is in the air. I'm leaning towards a bent control arm. If the bushings were wasted both sides would be off, correct, not just one corner? Quote Link to comment
DISLEXICDIME
does it still have the original bushings in it or did someone change the rear control arm bushings? Quote Link to comment
DrRocks0
It's the original bushings, I didn't think to pry on them. I'll go check them right now. Quote Link to comment
DrRocks0
No play. Tried up/down and left/right. The look not in horrible condition either like the other bushings I replaced. Any other suggestions? Quote Link to comment
q-tip
Being just the one and all the bushings good I would lean toward a bent control arm. Quote Link to comment

DISLEXICDIME
How are the x member bushings? Does it have savage washers? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Or does it have civilized washers? How are the x member bushings? Does it have savage washers? 1 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
I would remove both right and left control arms, and compare. You can see if one is bent, they should be mirror images. Quote Link to comment

I would remove both right and left control arms, and compare. You can see if one is bent, they should be mirror images. Nah if I pull the arm off its going to be to replace it, no need to pull stuff off to put it back on while I wait to find a part. This is my daily sadly. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
While you wait for a part which you may or may not need ... Quote Link to comment
DISLEXICDIME
If some one did savage washers on the x member It could be shifted to one side if they welded them off center Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Gary Savage strikes again! Quote Link to comment
DrRocks0
No savage washer mod. I would assume they probably dropped the rear cross member out to weld in the adjusters and get the differential bolts so the nuts are on top, is there a way to bolt the rear cross member in not straight? The driveline looks straight where it meets the diff, not angled like I would think it would be if the cross member was kicked sideways a degree or two. Quote Link to comment
DISLEXICDIME
It's probobly a bent control arm Quote Link to comment
