the510keeper
We have had this 510 for years, Sold it to a buddy, told him he can work on it here and after 2 or so years, not a lot has happened. So now we are on a mission, And no, I'm not keeping this one. But the goal is to ignite a spark in a youngster, or bring one back to an Old Datsun Head. We have noticed the Datsun price tags now a days and hope to keep this price tag reasonable. Lost the 1st pics I've had on the car but here we start. Tim's one of my long time friends and an all around Datsun head. So he has agreed to make run, do wiring, make stop. (enables me to keep plugging away at body work on the last of the dimes) Bought this in Oregon for $250 missing the ass panel and most everything but glass. Then the PO offered me the ass panel for what I paid for the car. EZ match I figured why not. Sad thing this was a DD before it got pulled apart. Cody and friends welding the ass back on. it will get some coilovers soon and all new breaks I picked up a L18/5 speed / weber (runner) from My Dailyroutine, and a set of bad ass wheels from Tendril, So we are half way there. I have a set of seats, can make door cards. on our way to a runner. 6 Quote Link to comment

Datsun510Again
My first car was a 510. I drive an altima and my wife a rogue. Everytime I bring the car in I see a 510 on a poster at the nissan dealer. Yesterday, my 9 yearold son asked me what kind of car is that at a stop light. I said its a 510, my first car as it peeled out. It's been 25 years since I last drove my 510. It thinks it's time. My name is Jesse my number is 619-410-4717 call me and will talk about a deal on this dime. Quote Link to comment
the510keeper
Been working with new clear coats on different projects, and different metal pattern finishes Sprayed a flat on my Faux Bluebird 4 door, I wanted to see what gloss clear would look like on this car with same metal finish patterns. Think im changing the birds clear Quote Link to comment

uberkevin
What should I use to protect it? What clear/'s.? Quote Link to comment
the510keeper
it'll rust under the clear slowly, but you will still get 5 years + out of it. My old coupe was cleared for 5 years, still is. Still not a worriment for longevity Most urethane clears work great, and even last longer with a metal prep acid prewash. 1 Quote Link to comment
