No pics but wagon is in the shop getting a full custom stereo. Alpine F1 status dyna audio component front and rears and fosgate amps and woofer. Just going with one 12” woofer. That will be plenty of boom. I love the old school stuff.

I would go with a high excursion 15 if only one, but that's just me :P

I had two 15s in my 280zx. It was awesome, but extremely rare that I actually used it. So I went for less to minimize impact on the goon. I'll never go back honestly, but I do miss the 15-25hz richness. It is a fuller sound. Still, this goon is a car before a stereo I think. Big, but not dominant. Just my projection, but I like the design. A lot.

The "15-25hz richness...."

When I worked as a manufacturer's rep for MTX and Rockford-Fosgate and attended CES shows and sound offs, we used to send a ringer around and challenge other speaker reps to show us how low their setups would go.

When you found a hick with a big swinging dick, we'd send in someone and ask if they could play a favorite song and see how their setup sounded.

That's when the shill would ask someone to play a "Flem and the BB's" Cd at extreme volume, and watch a nice Cerwin Vega or other vanity speaker setup cough up a shredded cone trying to hold a 15 hz note that snuck on them with the volume maxed out....

Focal and Dynaudio gear is awesome. So are Morel woofers.

It's hard to beat a top end woofer with a three inch voice coil installed in an acoustically engineered enclosure, even with 1,000 watts.

But, 25 years later, I can't hear shit.
