Ray: I seem to recall that there is a Detroit Locker out there that will fit the H190. There were some offered for sale not too long ago.... perhaps in the last two years? This might be a lead.

Then there is the MBT option .... the OS Giken one.  That is supposed to be silly money, but I am sure you know a guy in Japan who knows a guy who could maybe get you one. You are the Master source for long lost near mythical Datsun stuff.

These are the only sources I have heard anyone talk of recently for new items.

Your truck would be awesome with something taller, like a 3:70 gearset. Even a set of 4:11s would be nice because if I recall correctly, I think you were running a 4:37 pumpkin when you took me for a ride.

Of Course, when one has a high rpm beast like yours, who cares about low gears! You can zing that thing to the moon:)

Ray, when Wayne swapped gear sets in the H190 in the 320, we just cut a new gasket form a manila folder.

Traced it out, cut it out, and put it in dry. Not a drip during the next two years of use... :)

How is the L-18 working out after putting a few more miles on it since JCCS?

Doing good still needs to be tuned but need time to run to tuner.

There's a generic sealant made by Threebond that is the same as "Yamabond". It's number 1211 and is great for water and carburetor/intake sealing. They do also call it "Hondabond" or Kawibond" so don't feel bad using it on a Datsun (Datsunbond). Hell, evenToyota repackages it with their name on it.

The reason I like using The Right Stuff on diffs and oil pans is because it has unbeatable strength, but also because it's black as most diffs and oil pans are.
