That4doorKiD
68 510 cluster How can I test my LED bulbs in my cluster? They only flow one way. I marked which sides are + and - but what about the way i plug them on the dash? Any ideas Thx! Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
On a lot of them there will be a common ground (-). Notice how one trace connects to a bunch of different bulb sockets - that's your ground assuming it's not a common hot for just the backlight for gauges. If you have a multimeter you can check as well. Pull off the harness plug and trace the hots vs ground. Quote Link to comment

End of the V. regulator maybe? 9v battery? Quote Link to comment

DanielC
If you can reach the lamp holders with the dashboard in the car, if they do not work, take the lamp holder out, turn it 180 degrees, and put it back in. Quote Link to comment
Fat510
You don't really need to test that. They only flow one way, so remember which way the sides were facing when you take them out, if they don't ,work flip the led around in the socket and try again they same way you took them out By the way... If you decide to led everything, i do not recommend the led 1157 type for your brake lights and blinkers. The resistor inside the light can't handle the power my car put out so it fried the resistor inside and the lights stopped working within a few hours. By few, I mean less than probably 4 hours. 1 Quote Link to comment
