flatcat19
Power going to coil? Grounded? Check fuses? Quote Link to comment
Batsun
yes I check that power is going to coil and ground and fuse look good Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Well, if you have power going to coil...there should be spark going to the dizzy. Right? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Both Run wire and Start wire should be connected to the coil KA24 used one wire because the IGN switch worked differently. But with 620 both wires should be used. Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
Power at coil while cranking? What codes does the ECU give you? Both grounds on the intake manifold? Quote Link to comment
Batsun
power at coil when cranking, how to check for codes, and what do you mean both grounds Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
There are two ground wires that bolt to the intake manifold, if you don't have both hooked up it won't run. One is off the o2 loom and the other is near the throttle body if I remember correctly on a KA24E. Do a google search for code checking. It will explain it better than I can. Quote Link to comment
Batsun
all grounds are grounds ill look up codes Quote Link to comment
Batsun
how to check codes with no check engine light Quote Link to comment
Batsun
I checked my codes and I got 23 and between 34 or 44 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
23 - Idle switch (throttle valve switch) signal circuit open 34 - Detonation (Knock) Sensor 44 - No trouble codes stored in ECU That last one has me stumped. Quote Link to comment
Draker
44 is no issues.. it's what you expect to see. Quote Link to comment
Batsun
Ok how do you go about fixing or checking them Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Ok how do you go about fixing or checking them Knock sensor-replace it. Idle valve-get car running and see if it still exists. Quote Link to comment
Batsun
I been reading on the knock sensor some people say ka24e don't have them only ka24de has them and other say they do have them Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
should run without either of those. Quote Link to comment
Batsun
I read one form a guy got a code 23 on his ka24de and no spark he found out his timing was out, I might check my timing Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
You should still get spark if the timing is off. Are you checking it at the spark plug or at the coil? Quote Link to comment
Batsun
at the coil Quote Link to comment
