az_rat210
Hey All, been awhile since I posted on my B210. Just wired in a starter/headlight/high beam relays and thought I would share. I was previously asked how I was getting a hotter spark and 14.5 volts at the coil and figured I would write that up. The coil wiring is thus. Bosch Relay Pin 30 - power in from battery Pin 87 - Power out to Coil Positive Pin 85 - Connect up wire that usually runs power to coil positive to activate the coil Pin 86 - Connect to ground Jumper pin 85 to 86 using a 1 mf Diode Striped end on Pin 85. This way when the Relay coil discharges (it likes to back discharge) the voltage is shunted to ground preventing damage to your circuit. Note: your RPM at idle will increase by about 200 rpm requiring you to reduce the idle. Gas mileage on an A-Series will go up about 2 miles per gallon, provides better throttle response from the hotter burn. I use an MSD Blaster 2 coil to handle the extra voltage as it results in about a 50kv spark. And pictures of my awesome relay wiring complete with wires beint all too long. 1 Quote Link to comment
