L20B NIKKI FUEL PUMP REBUILD -- DIFFERENT PUMP, CAN'T LOCATE PARTS.

I'd like to rebuild my Nikki fuel pump on my L20B just for the hell of it. Want to do it to learn how and to clean and shine up the pump.

However... My Nikki pump has a 6-bolt cover. It seems I can only find 4-bolt cover rebuild kits.

Can someone point me in the right direction? Can I also get some info on the differences on these pump? I've seen the Z cars most commonly have the 4-bolt pumps - although my buddy's L20 has a 4-bolt cover pump? Are the L24 pumps usable on an L20B?

Pics below.....

Only difference would be fuel volume. Pressure should be very close to the same. As to the 4 bolt... the B210/210 uses them. Maybe they fit the L series? Don't know of any L series that has less than a 6 bolt pump.

Some Z series (Z22 is the one I saw) has a pump identical to the 6 bolt from an L series just larger in over all size.

That was a popular mod years back, putting a NAPS Z fuel pump on your L motor. They have a larger diameter diaphragm. I never used one.

Here's a listing on ebay. Note the Airtex part number.

I can verify that by buddy has a 4 bolt Nikki and I have a 6 bolt Nikki on our L20s. Both of our L's were later models with smog equipment.

I can easily find a rebuild kit for a 4 bolt Nikki, but none to be found for a 6 bolt. Any leads?

R16 Raodster or 411SSS had the small one also.

Hey Guys,

I've been looking for a replacement engine for my E1 in my 65' L320 and came across this one the other day not sure what engine it is I am thinking its a A10?

The owner said it came out of a 1968 Datsun 1000.  Serial Number on the block looks like an R 02561

Things that caught my eye/interest is the dual intake manifold, finned valve cover and special oil pan....

Can anyone ID or help validate what engine this is.  I am looking to direct replacement for my E1.

Thanks for the help....
