flatcat19
Clean the rust and repaint. Make some sort of gasket to seal it up. Yuck. You may have more leaks than just the obvious one. Booster could be shot altogether. Find one from a 620 or 210; something newer. 1 Quote Link to comment
Datsun510Boy
yeah i want to replace whole thing was wondering which years 620 and 210 boosters were compatible to fit my 71 510 . seen a few on eBay not sure if my master cylinder will fit . i put a picture of the master cylinder first pic at the top 1 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Search is your friend. Lots of people have these. It will run you about $100 for the whole setup. Even cheaper if you don't buy another setup with the front and rear spacers. If you do buy one with the front and rear spacers.. you can sell them for $$$$. 1 Quote Link to comment
Datsun510Boy
found a few i think might work out for me. should i go Used Or remanufactured ? 1 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Depends on your budget. Remans are more likely to be working And last longer. But used is cheap... 1 Quote Link to comment

shacks510
Why not just run without one? 1 Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Yea, the car didnt come stock with one, it was added. I never thought it was necessary with the stock 3/4" MC. 1 Quote Link to comment
shacks510
Even with a 7/8" I don't have an issue. 1 Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Yes, what you have is from a B210. A new/reman will not come with the spacers so you have to reuse those. A reman runs around $120. A new one from nissan, if you can even find one, runs twice that amount, around $240. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Anything that reduces driver effort and fatigue is good. Remember, the master cylinder was matched to pads and tires from 45 years ago. Today these pads and tires have much better traction and grip so they can safely stop you much faster. Only makes sense to improve the master cylinder output pressure too. 1 Quote Link to comment
Datsun510Boy
So whats better The b210 brake booster or the 620 power brake booster ? my guess is the bigger One. mind you i have a 71 510 2dr with a L20b 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
One that won't get in the way of your carbs. 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
What you have is a B210 4" booster and spacers the 620 early booster is 4" but the studs on the backside of the 620 early booster are to short to go through the aluminum spacer. The back aluminum spacer provides needed clearance for the booster to clear the clutch master cylinder. This is the only booster that fits this application. I do not remember what year B210 had this booster setup, I am guess 1979 to 1981 but I am not sure. I have a complete booster and spacer setup in my garage. On Rock Auto there is a service where you can send your booster in and they will rebuild it and send it back to you. I believe it is around $65 plus shipping both ways. This is your best chance to get a rebuilt one, unless you get lucky and find one on s shelf some where. Be sure to take off your spacers if you ship it in for rebuild, you will not get them back. Napa shores a special order booster for around $100 but he pictures of it do not look correct. Rock auto shows a couple of boosters but I can not tell if these are correct either. these to listings are for a 79 to 81 B210. This is an early 620 4" booster setup. These are pictures of one I sold a while back. 1 Quote Link to comment
