Tom1200
I will try to be brief but likely fail: I have an H190 (23 spline) in my 1200 race car and the axles I have just discovered have about 3mm end play.(I have been unwittingly racing it this way) Here is what I have noticed the backing plates have a 3mm recess but the H190 housing is flush so once you bolt the backing plate on to the housing it allows the axle to bearing to slide into the recess in the backing plate, hence the end play. What I think is going on are these backing plates are made for an axle tube that has a collar type end on the housing.....in other words axle tube stands proud of mating surface where the backing plate bolts up. In the mean time I have made up a fix but I'd prefer it all factory. Tom Quote Link to comment
