a.d._510_n_ok
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a thicker flange gasket for the rear catalytic convertor flange. I replaced mine about six months ago using a cheap pair from AutoZone and they held for a while but are now blown out on the top and bottom of the flange. Is there a thicker alternative than the generic Beck-Arnley 039-6035? My engine is the stock 1952cc NAPZ that i believe was built as late as 1989? I HATE exhaust leaks! Quote Link to comment
DanielC
Have you tried your local Nissan dealer? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The NAPS Z20 used in N America was only available from '80-'81 on the A10 and S110 cars and '83-'86.5 on the 720 truck. The Nissan part number for the '80 Federal A10 goon converter gaskets (qty. 2, front and rear) is ... 20692-M3060 about $10. It was used on just about every cat equipped Datsun ever made 1 Quote Link to comment

a.d._510_n_ok
A company called Walker manufactures a flange gasket for my engine to which part #31307 is assigned. This part number is also correct for a 1979-80 Dodge Ramcharger with the slant six. The dimensions for this gasket are two mounting bolts spaced 3 1/2 inches from bolt center to bolt center, 2 1/4 pipe and 2 1/2 flange. Alternatives for this gasket are Beck-Arnley 039-6035, Stone 224 38307 368, Soundmaster 31307, Fel-Pro 23609 235979-80, Bosal 256-519 and Remflex 6006. The Bosal and Remflex are pre mium priced units but the latter has a ton of negative reviews (mostly regarding crucial initial installation torques and short life) while the former gets generally high praise. I have a Bosal headed to the house and am hoping for the best. Quote Link to comment
