markate
Been in Roadster world the last few years, purchased one with an A14 in it. The swap looks like it was done well enough, but there are some things we are trying to understand. First off, where is the thermostat? Second, what temp should the thermostat run? Also, does anyone know if the 5spd from an A14 will bolt on to a R16 motor? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Morrisun
Thermostat is just below valve cover in the front and above the water pump pulley. The top radiator hose connects to the thermostat housing, may have 3 or 4 bolts. Thermostat is under housing. Thermostat range from 180-195, depends on the temps in your area. A series transmission do NOT bolt up to roadster transmissions. Roadster 2000 engine put out 135hp, you can get that out of an A series engine but it get expensive$$$. The link is to A12 thermostat, but yours in similar: http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsunB110/Datsun1200Index/Engine/CylinderHead/tabid/1888/Default.aspx Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Roadster transmissions have the starter on the left (driver's side) Quote Link to comment
