scooter stuff
Seems like a good price. I'm thinking the 200lb spring might be too stiff? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-280ZX-510-Front-ONLY-Coil-Overs-Coilovers-Springs-Set-Complete/151551973452? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
No I don't run those. I increase the spring rate and make my ride height adjustable using my stock strut and spring for about $30, and you can too. But for 5 times as much you can buy those.... their pretty. 1 Quote Link to comment
Dolomite
If I were to buy this style of kit I would pony up the extra few bucks to get t3/ground control, you're getting eibach springs, and I live close to both shops so it would support local economy. The warranty on eibach springs is very good as well. Mikes setup is the way to go if you're comfortable cutting springs Quote Link to comment

Are you referring to the clamps? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yup. Coil overs can be clamped in place with them too if you don't have a welder. For added insurance I tacked a small easy to get at weld just below the split collars so they can't slip down. Ask yourself how many times a week do you plan to adjust your ride height. If none once you get it where you want it then these things, pretty as they are, are simply along for the ride. You could put the money saved towards rims, tires, a sway bar, bump steer spacers.... I would also like to do coilovers so i add a bit of negative camber. Just to put you up to speed on my skill level- I head up the body & paint dept at a hotrod shop. I have the resources, skills and/or support to com 1 Quote Link to comment

q-tip
If you want true adjustability get or make adjustable lower control arms and t/c rods. That way you can adjust camber and caster. Quote Link to comment
